Quick Wins — Already Pushed Live

These were all code-level fixes. No content or decisions needed. Already built and deployed.

Fixed "Kent and Kent" footer bug
Footer was rendering "for Kent and Kent" because both `primary` and `regions[0]` were "Kent". Now reads "across Kent and Southeast London".
Deployed
Area page H1s now say "Composite Doors"
Every area page heading was "Premium Windows in {Town}". Now reads "Composite Doors in {Town}" — matching your primary service and highest-volume search term.
Deployed
All area page titles lead with "Composite Door Installer"
15 area pages updated from "Windows & Doors {Town}" to "Composite Door Installer in {Town} | Ironwood Composite Doors".
Deployed
Service titles now include "Fitted"
All 6 service page titles updated. Example: "Composite Doors Kent" → "Composite Doors Fitted in Kent | Ironwood Composite Doors". Installation intent keywords now present.
Deployed
Business name unified to "Ironwood Composite Doors"
The site previously used "Ironwood Composite" in titles, schema, and meta tags. Now consistent with the Google Business Profile name across every page.
Deployed
Homepage title sharpened
Changed from "Composite Doors Kent | Windows & Doors | Ironwood" to "Composite Door Installer in Kent | Ironwood Composite Doors". Clearer, more focused.
Deployed
Review schema added to Reviews page
The Reviews page now outputs AggregateRating (5.0 from 52 reviews) plus 5 individual Review entries in structured data. Google can show star ratings in search results.

Ready to Build — Need Content From You

These are coded and ready. I just need assets, copy, or a green light to proceed.

6
FENSA logo in the footer
FENSA appears on the About page but not the footer. Adding it to every page is a strong trust signal. I need a FENSA logo SVG/PNG, or I can use a text + icon treatment.
Needs asset
7
About page — Sam's personal story
The About page has no name, no face, no personal story. Google's E-E-A-T guidelines specifically look for the real person behind a local business. I need: your full name, a headshot, and 2-3 paragraphs about how you got into the trade and what drives you.
Needs content
8
Enrich 18 area pages with deeper local content
Some area pages have thin unique content. I can rewrite all 18 with richer local detail — postcode villages, building styles, area-specific knowledge. Just need the go-ahead.
Needs go-ahead
9
Footer service area statement
Want to replace the generic "Serving Kent & Southeast London" with a fuller list: "Maidstone, Canterbury, Dartford, Bromley, Greenwich, Sidcup, Orpington…" — lists all key towns. Can do this one straight away if you're happy with the approach.
Quick change
10
Blog posts — first batch of 4
Prioritised list ready: composite door cost in Kent, composite vs uPVC, planning permission for doors, how long installation takes. All targeting local search intent. Just need the go-ahead to write them.
Needs go-ahead
11
Image alt text audit
Portfolio images use generic alt text like "Modern Entryway". Should be "Composite front door installed in Maidstone, Kent" etc. Helps Google Image Search. Low priority but easy win.
Quick change

On Your Side — Outside the Website

These can't be done in code. They need you to take action directly on Google, directories, and in your workflow.

G
Google Business Profile optimisation
Set primary category to "Door supplier", add all Kent towns to service area, write 750-char business description, fill in all 6 services, upload 20-30+ photos, seed Q&A section, confirm hours & phone match the website.
GBP
Post-job review requests
Set up a process to text every customer your GBP review link after each completed job. Respond to all existing reviews within 48 hours. Post weekly to GBP.

Trade directory submissions
Submit to Checkatrade, Yell, Bark, MyBuilder, Rated People, TrustATrader, FreeIndex, Houzz. Ensure NAP (name, address, phone) is identical on every listing.
Directories
🤝
Supplier backlinks
Contact Solidor, Rockdoor, Endurance etc. and ask them to list Ironwood Composite Doors as an approved installer with a link back to your site.
Backlinks
📊
Google Search Console & Analytics
Set up GSC to monitor indexing and search performance. Set up GA4 for visitor tracking. Both are free and give you visibility into what's working.
Setup

No Action Needed — Already Sorted

The SEO report flagged these as issues. I checked the code and they were already handled.

"No LocalBusiness schema"
Wrong — HomeAndConstructionBusiness schema runs on every page via the SEO component. Area pages have per-area schemas too.
"No meta descriptions"
Wrong — homepage, about, reviews, services, area pages, and blog pages all have descriptions set. Some were already optimised.
"Only 3 blog posts"
Out of date — there are 4. Still thin, but the count was wrong.
"No sitemap"
Wrong — HTML sitemap exists at /sitemap with all pages listed. XML sitemap also present.

What Sam needs to send back

Just these items will unblock the next batch of work.

  • 📸 A headshot / portrait photo
  • ✍️ 2-3 paragraphs about you, your background, why you started Ironwood
  • 🖼️ FENSA logo file (or confirm I should use a text treatment)
  • 👍 Go-ahead on: area page rewrites, blog post batch 1, footer town list
